This past weekend was no different, and we worked 100-110 feet of water catching many lake trout, and one very acrobatic steelhead. The hightlight of the trip was a very nice 17lb lake trout that fought all the way to the boat, like only a laker can. Matt, the angler on the rod, struggled with this fish, and his arms were absolutely wore out by the time I put the fish in the net. We work out to the 180 mark, and changed some stuff up, looking for that king bite, but it would not come together for us on this day. The crew had good time, and they stayed very busy battling lake trout for most of the morning.
Things are changing quickly this week on the big lake, and as the lake has been transitioning and stratifying the kings are moving in, and the fishing will only continue to remain strong for the summer.
With the summer getting nicer, and the fishing being good, my available dates are filling up fast. I have some days left in July, and the 2nd half of August, and Labor Day weekend, is still available. So get in touch with now, and get on the calender!!!
