If you're thinking about getting out for a couple hours.. go for it. Any place there is a tributary entering the lake, with stained water, and maybe a little warmer than the lake would be a fantastic spot. I would stick with casting various shallow tracking plugs in more natural colors; black and silver, gold and silver, perch, goby, etc.. The rapala X-raps are good, heavy enough to cast, but still float, and can be retrieve slow. The fish may prefer a slower retrieve with the colder water temps, but as always in fishing be open to trying different presentations.
I'd love to get in on the action but I will be attending the LOTSA Salmon Clinic again this year, and won't have the time to wet a line. So do me a favor... get out, and catch some fish!!
