April is the time of year we fishing the skinny water for those porky Lake Ontario brown trout, and even though we’re not in shorts and sandals, it’s a great cure for cabin fever. Last year was the best brown trout fishing I experienced in 30 years of fishing the big lake, and I expect similar fishing again this spring. This cold winter will have those fish very hungry come ice out.
With more hard work, my new boat, the Small Fortune, will ready buy April 1st to get you and your crew on the water for an early trip. Or if you’d rather wait to fish in warmer weather, and go after those off shore salmon and steelhead, it’s never too early to book your trip. The sooner you book, the more dates there are to choose from.
I’m booking both weekend and weekday dates from April through September, and if you book before April 1st, I’ll get you in on the early bird rate.
